K148 - Tempest #11
This is a Tempest SUL, built alongside K146, but delayed waiting for carbon to frame them. This makes up part of my personal team set.
Color
This kite is all black. All the other kites in the team set have been 2 red/black sails and 2 gold/black sails. Because the SULs dropped all applique to reduce weight, I wanted 2 red sails, and 2 black sails. I could have done a gold color sail, but I don’t think it would have looked very nice.
Tagging
Being such large sails with no applique, my usual dye sublimation labeling is less practical. So I’ve hand-written the labeling using a paint pen.
