K124 - Tempest Prototype #3
This is the third Tempest team kite prototype. The sail is largely the same as K120 with some tweaks:
Sail clean up
The sail is quite similar to K120 except that I moved the winglet's leading edge pocket back to give a little more room for the fiberglass to flex, making it easier to install the batten.
Framing
K120 was framed with P300, 5PT and 3PT. That kite felt a bit light for a standard, so I wanted to try bumping up the frame a bit. This is now running P400 spine and lower leading edge, 7PT lower spreaders, and 5PT upper leading edge.
Bridle
When adjusting the bridle on K120, I was running out of room to adjust, so I made the bridle generally longer so I can tweak it more out on the field.
Other notes
The coloring was largely my spouse's choice, opting for bright colors and white thread.
