K94 - Shiznit #7
I donated Shiznit #5 to the SPI kite festival’s auction, so I need a second Shiznit to keep in my bag.
Nose
I did my usual coverings on the edges of the nose, but the front side didn’t catch all of the stitches, and I didn’t notice until the kite was done an assembled, so I trimmed off the excess. I think in the future, I’ll adjust this approach to be more like what I’ve been doing on outdoor dual lines, where the cover just extends along the edge, not all the way to the base of the leading edge pocket.
Sleeve
This is the first Shiznit with a flat sleeve. I did a little better and a little worse on the sleeve in some areas. The corners at the bottom are looking better. The binding at the top and the binding between color changes didn’t go as nice, so I’m going to work on those a bit more next time.
Glued parts
This is the first Shiznit I’ve build since I added glue holes to some of my fittings. So the center swivel and the standoff connectors are all glued in place, and I think that works really well.
Smaller C Clips
For the C clips that remain on the kite, I made them a bit thinner, and I think that looks nice.
