Sliding Swiveling Cross Fitting
Description
This is a two-part fitting that I have been using for dual lines with a single-piece pultruded lower spreader where that lower spreader needs to slide when the kite is packed away.
This has a main swiveling chasis and a clip-on stopper. The stopper is glued to the lower spreader. There are walls around part of the swiveling chasis which prevents the spreader from moving when the kite is set up, but allows it to slide when it is parallel to the spine.

Name | Description |
---|---|
Fusion 360 Project File | V27 of the model exported from Fusion 360 |
Fusion 360 Live Project | The most recent version of the project. Provides parameters for the spreader and the spine diameters so it can be easily modified to support different size spars |
Priting Notes:
I print both pieces using Armadillo. The chasis is printed on its side as one piece. I print it on its side to make the print-in-place swivel easier to achieve.
This may be a slightly more difficult print because your machine needs to be relatively well calibrated to support the print-in-place swivel.
