3D Models for 3D Printing

I model and print my own fittings for kites as well as other accessories and tools. Feel free to do what you want with these models, as they fall under the WTFPL license.

If you like these models and want to give me a thank you, feel free to drop me a donation here:

Spreader Standoff Connector

Description

Connects the lower spreader to a standoff on a sport kite.

Includes parameterized holes for the spreader spar, and the standoff spar. Also includes a small hole that can be used to glue the fitting to the spreader.

Resources:

For the best experience, use the online Fusion 360 Project. The project includes parameters to adjust hole sizes and tolerances.

The Project is also available as a .f3d file here: Standoff Connector v40.f3d

Prepared STL files:

  • 7mm x 5.5mm - A fitting with a 7mm internal diameter hole for the spreader, and a 5.5mm internal diameter hole for the standoff.
  • 7mm x 4mm - A fitting with a 7mm internal diameter hole for the spreader, and a 4mm internal diameter hole for the standoff.
  • 7mm x 3mm - A fitting with a 7mm internal diameter hole for the spreader, and a 3mm internal diameter hole for the standoff.
  • 4mm x 2mm - A fitting with a 4mm internal diameter hole for the spreader, and a 2mm internal diameter hole for the standoff.

Printing Notes

I print these with Sainsmart 95A TPU, no supports, and 100% infill. Lay down on a flat side with the spreader hole facing up/down.
