K105 - Escape #11
This is an Escape Vented, based on designs by Ulzburger Kites . This kite is built in Black and Gold to compliment K93 - Escape #7.
This build generally went very smoothly.
Venting
After talking with Mario DiLucca, and seeing the vented Escape that he built, I liked how he put the venting and the black trim around the venting on the front of the sail. I've ended up doing that here. I don't think it makes much of a difference here since it's all against a black sail anyway.
Center Cross
As I did in K93, I did not cut out the full opening for the center cross as the Escape plans show, but I instead cut a minimal strip. I do think this helps stabelize the spine against the vertical tensioning.
