I did try using tapered rods in the LE. I didn't really notice much of a change in how it flew, so I don't feel like there's really any benefit to it. However, the ferrules get stuck in the tapered rods preatty firmly which is annoying, and I don't like having a mixture of rods if I don't need to. Tapered rods are out.
