Yoyo Stopper Prong
Description
This is a simple ring with a prong on it, which can be used as a yoyo stopper for sport kites.
For this type of yoyo stopper, the sail needs to be built with this fitting in mind. When assembling the leading edge, cut a small hole (~1/8" in diameter) near the center of the leading edge material, but offset toward the back of the sail. This should be the spot where the yoyo stopper should sit when assembled. When sewing the leading edge on to the sail, skip ~1" or so under where the yoyo stopper is destined to be. When assembling the kite, this fitting can be inserted into the leading edge through that opening in the base of the leading edge, while the leading edge spar can be threaded through the ring of the fitting.
