Pointed Side Nock

Description

This is an end-cap with a pointed tip and a nock on the side. This was designed for use in competition at World Kite Cup in 2024 to sit on the ends of the leading edge spars. The side nock allows for tensioning of the sail. The pointed tip allows for more traction and stable landings and tip-stands on hard packed sand.

This is not a fitting that I typically put on kites or would typically recommend putting on kites because of the pointy end's potential of puncturing other kites. It does have its place in certain circumstances like competition or other higher-stakes situations for increased reliability of landings and tip stands.
