K82 Essentials XV
In an effort to upgrade my core quad line set, I rebuilt both of my Essentials XVs at the same time.
The builds went pretty smoothly, though I did have a couple hiccups.
Miscut when venting
When I do the venting, I piece together a full sail, then I hot-cut out the vented portions. One one of the sail halves, I cut where I shouldn’t, so I had to do that part over. I had also just run out of black fabric, so I had to wait for more fabric to come in the mail, which delayed the overall progress by a bit.
Trouble with sleeves
I seemed to have a lot of trouble with the sleeves this time. First, when I did the embroidery, the scale was smaller than it was supposed to be, so I had to redo them. Then, I sewed one of the sleeves entirely wrong so I had to start over again on that one. All this probably added 3 or 4 hours to my work, but it all came out correct in the end.
