K35 - Hex #4
Kite #3 of an 8 kite stack.
Good notes:
- No sewing issues that I've noticed. Kite looks pretty clean
- Did a large amount of cutaway work for the white panels on the side. This was my first time doing something like that, but it went well. Not thrilled with the amount of scrap that comes out of it though.
Not-so-good notes:
- There's a bit too much fabric in the belly, need to adjust my template since this has happened a couple of times.
- A needle broke while I was sewing. Didn't seem to damage anything, but it was a surprise.
This stack won 1st place in experienced sport kite hand crafted at the Washington State International Kite Festival in 2019.
