Build Log

K11 - K11 #1

I couldn't think of a name for this kite, so I called it K11. This kite was built to use up the scrap fabric that I had accumulated thus far. The design is based on a quilting pattern. This kite has the black trim like Bubbles did, but this was not because of any venting, but because I didn't make the sail large enough to fold in on the edges.

Update (01/30/2026) - This kite came back for repairs; I repair kites that I made for free. I replaced the leading edge and leading edge mesh with crinoline instead of fiberglass mesh, and with cutouts for T-Fittings. I made some new retrofit t-fittings that will work for old endcap kites. I also printed new endcaps, and tied a new bridle. I also replaced the reinforcement on the bottom wingtips to be a bit more robust.
